A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR WORLD'S SPONSORS!
Without them we wouldn't be as successful as we are!

Our field at Mankato East High School
Introducing Walters Field! Our robotics field is named after a family that has contributed countless resources to the Mankato East Robotics program. The field, our website, and parts for robots are just a few things that their contributions have made possible.
Mike Walters was in love with robotics as soon as his only granddaughters, Tessa and Sarah Machado, joined the program in 2013. He attended all of the competitions that they were at including when their teams made it to VEX Worlds in Louisville, Kentucky. The two have since graduated from East and continue to volunteer at VEX Robotics events. Sadly in May of 2016 he passed away. His wife, Peggy Walters, and daughter, Melisa Walters, continue to donate to our program to this day in his name. His oldest daughter, Michele Machado, works at East and is one of the robotics program coaches. The love for robotics is now a family endeavor. This is why our field is now rightfully named Walters Field.
